Geboren in 1974 uit een selectie van Sangiovese, is het een van de eerste wijnen die met succes te maken krijgt met pure Sangiovese. Deze wijn wordt geteeld op een typische Krijtgrond, rijk aan mergel, genaamd de Scanni wijngaard, en ligt op een hoogte van 300 meter boven de zeespiegel, op het zuidwesten gericht, deze wijn wordt gevinifieerd in staal. Na ongeveer 18 maanden rijping in Franse 5hl vaten, blijft het een jaar in de fles om te rijpen.

Castello Monsanto
Aldo Bianchi, born in San Gimignano, left Tuscany before the Second World War to seek his fortune in Northern Italy. In 1960, returning to the area for a wedding, he was enchanted by the view from the terrace of the Castle of Monsanto: the entire Val d'Elsa with the incomparable backdrop of the Towers of San Gimignano. A stroke of lightning that made him buy the property in a few months. But if Aldo was bewitched by the landscape, Fabrizio, his son, immediately fell in love with the wines he found in the cellar. Thanks to his grandmother's passion for wine and his innate entrepreneurial spirit, Fabrizio, together with the tireless help of his wife Giuliana, began planting new vineyards and renovating the many farmhouses. ..... from here begins an incredible story of love, passion and joy for wine and everything that surrounds it.
