Deze heerlijke wijn komt van de “Il Mulino” wijngaard op 260 meter boven zeeniveau. geïmplanteerd in 1976 met alleen Cabernet Sauvignon. Na vinificatie in staal rijpt het 18 maanden in eikenhouten barriques en nog een jaar op fles.
Het wordt gekenmerkt door geuren die typerend zijn voor de druivensoort, die doet denken aan donkere kersen en kruidachtig. Kruidige en mentholparfums zijn voelbaar. In de mond is het kostbaar en fijn, gekenmerkt door een uitstekende aromatische en smaakstructuur en een goede persistentie.
Uitstekend te combineren met rood vleesgerechten. Probeer het eens met scaloppine al Marsala.

Castello Monsanto
Aldo Bianchi, born in San Gimignano, left Tuscany before the Second World War to seek his fortune in Northern Italy. In 1960, returning to the area for a wedding, he was enchanted by the view from the terrace of the Castle of Monsanto: the entire Val d'Elsa with the incomparable backdrop of the Towers of San Gimignano. A stroke of lightning that made him buy the property in a few months. But if Aldo was bewitched by the landscape, Fabrizio, his son, immediately fell in love with the wines he found in the cellar. Thanks to his grandmother's passion for wine and his innate entrepreneurial spirit, Fabrizio, together with the tireless help of his wife Giuliana, began planting new vineyards and renovating the many farmhouses. ..... from here begins an incredible story of love, passion and joy for wine and everything that surrounds it.
