Productinformatie "Chianti Classico DOCG"

Deze wijn is afkomstig van een selectie van druiven uit wijngaarden die het meest geschikt worden geacht om te rijpen in grote vaten van 50hl. Samengesteld uit 90% Sangiovese en 10% Canaiolo en Colorino, is het gevinifieerd in staal voor ongeveer 18 dagen. De rijping duurt 12 maanden in 50 hl Slavische eiken vaten. Tot slot is er nog een laatste periode van veroudering van drie maanden op fles.

Castello Monsanto

Aldo Bianchi, born in San Gimignano, left Tuscany before the Second World War to seek his fortune in Northern Italy. In 1960, returning to the area for a wedding, he was enchanted by the view from the terrace of the Castle of Monsanto: the entire Val d'Elsa with the incomparable backdrop of the Towers of San Gimignano. A stroke of lightning that made him buy the property in a few months. But if Aldo was bewitched by the landscape, Fabrizio, his son, immediately fell in love with the wines he found in the cellar. Thanks to his grandmother's passion for wine and his innate entrepreneurial spirit, Fabrizio, together with the tireless help of his wife Giuliana, began planting new vineyards and renovating the many farmhouses. ..... from here begins an incredible story of love, passion and joy for wine and everything that surrounds it.
