Cameo

Cameo is part of the Dr. Oetker group, founded in 1891 by the young pharmacist Dr. August Oetker.
Dr. August lived in Bielefeld, a small town located in northern Germany, where the headquarters of the multinational are still located today.
In 1893, Dr. Oetker introduced yeast in sachets for the first time, dosed exactly for ½ kg of flour.
Backin yeast immediately became very popular thanks to its ability to guarantee the perfect outcome of any dessert.
From this innovation many products were born quickly, such as vanilla sugar, wheat starch, flavorings, first dessert preparations and much more.
